Find the Tree-Care Answer You Need

Planning Tree Work

What to share before a visit and how the scope is set.

What information helps you assess a tree?

Tell us the type of concern, where the tree stands, what it could affect, and any recent changes such as a new lean, crack, or broken limb. Photos may help if the contact form accepts them, but a site assessment is needed for a full plan.

Can tree work be done on a narrow lot?

Many jobs can be planned for limited space, but the method depends on access, surrounding structures, neighboring property, and the tree's condition. We need to see the site before deciding whether equipment, rigging, or a different work sequence is appropriate.

How should I prepare the property?

Clear vehicles and movable items from the likely work area if it is safe to do so. Mention gates, septic components, buried lines, irrigation, or fragile landscaping during planning. We can discuss any additional access needs once the job scope is known.

Tree Hazards

What to do when a tree changes or storm damage appears.

What signs suggest a tree may be hazardous?

A new lean, soil lifting near the roots, a large crack, dead limbs over occupied areas, or a hanging branch after a storm all deserve attention. These signs do not tell the whole story, so keep people clear and ask for an assessment.

Should I cut a hanging limb myself?

Do not stand beneath or pull on a hanging limb. It may be under tension and can move suddenly. Keep the area clear and describe where it is hanging when you call. If a wire is nearby, contact the utility first.

Can a damaged tree sometimes be kept?

Sometimes. The decision depends on the extent of damage, the tree's condition, and what it could strike. Selective pruning or support may be worth discussing in some cases; extensive structural damage may call for removal.

Hours and Contact

How to reach the business and what happens next.

What are your operating hours?

We are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You may call (603) 680-1783 any day or night. For a non-urgent request, the form and email are also available, and we can follow up about the next step.

Can I email my tree question?

Yes. Send a description of the tree, your town, and the main concern to nathan@granitestatearborists.com. If the situation is urgent, a phone call is the clearest way to explain what is happening and whether the area is safe.

Will the form submit an appointment automatically?

The form sends a contact request; it does not itself confirm a booked visit. Include enough detail for a useful follow-up. You can call directly if you want to discuss the tree right away.

Where Granite State Arborists works.

Which New Hampshire communities do you serve?

We serve Weare, Concord, Manchester, Nashua, Merrimack, Hillsborough, Goffstown, Bedford, Hooksett, and Bow. Tell us the property town when you contact the business so the location is clear.

Are city-owned trees handled the same way?

No. Trees on public property or within a public way may be managed by the local government. Confirm ownership and any required city or town process before arranging private cutting. This is especially relevant for street-side trees.

Can you assess trees at a business property?

Yes. We serve businesses and property managers as well as homeowners. Describe the site, access, and any parking or public areas affected so a suitable work plan can be discussed.
